Support the Kitchen

Old Town Soup Kitchen is a non-profit organization that provides free meals, clothing, and other services to those in need. The soup kitchen office is open weekly every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The soup kitchen and the outreach center rely on the generosity and support of volunteers and donors who share their vision and values. There are many ways that you can help the organization and make a positive impact on the lives of the people we serve. Below you will find some of the opportunities and guidelines for volunteering and donating to Old Town Christian Outreach Center, Soup Kitchen.

Prayer

Perhaps the most important thing you can do is keep our team in your prayers. We at Old Town Soup Kitchen believe that only one thing is necessary (Luke 10:42) to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. God’s has commanded us to love our neighbors as yourself.(Mark 12:29) following Mathew 25:35-36 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me., We work each day to demonstrate that God is remains the “bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst”. John 6:35. Please continue to pray that we listen for God’s voice each day for the opportunities to demonstrate is love to those who use the services we provide.

Item Donations

The majority of the items we distribute each year are generously donated by individuals and local businesses within our community. We greatly rely on the support and contributions of these valued partners, who graciously provide us with a wide range of essential resources such as food, clothing, furniture, and baby items. Without their selfless donations, it would be challenging for us to fulfill our mission of providing assistance to those in need. If you are interested in learning more about the specific items we currently require, you can find detailed information regarding our ongoing donation needs here. Your support and generosity are vital in helping us make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families facing hardships.

Monetary Donation

You can help us continue our work by making a donation online or by check. Any amount you can afford, whether it's $10, $100, or $1000, is valuable and will be spent wisely and effectively. To donate, mail a check to 600 Gratiot Ave. Saginaw, MI 48602 or use the links below to donate online. The main purpose of this cooperation is to provide a meaningful and effective service for those who need it in our community. Through this cooperation, we hope to encourage hope, build a sense of community, and touch the hearts of everyone involved.
